Suede Sing

A voice lab in your pocket. Suede Sing measures the things singers usually only guess at — range, register, breath support, resonance, vibrato — every session, on-device, and turns them into your TonePrint.

The voice lab in your pocket — Suede Sing turns every singing session into objective measurement and a practice plan.

One paragraph

Suede Sing is an iOS app for serious singers and the coaches who teach them. It reads the signal in your singing voice — range, register transitions, mixed-voice behavior, breath support, resonance, larynx position, vibrato — through real-time spectral analysis on your device. Every session builds a longitudinal TonePrint: an objective map of how your voice actually behaves today, and a personalized practice plan to grow it. Audio never leaves the phone.

For decades, the measurements vocal scientists rely on — spectral tilt, harmonic-to-noise ratio, formant tracking, H1-H2 — required a sound booth, a Praat script, and a graduate degree. Suede Sing puts that same analysis in the pocket of every singer who owns an iPhone. Sing into the app and watch your voice surface as data: where your mix lives, where you're dragging chest voice past its safe limit, whether your larynx rides high under stress, how steady your breath support is, where your passaggio breaks. Each session becomes a row in your TonePrint. The recommendation engine reads your TonePrint and prescribes drills targeted to your specific gaps. Bring the export to a vocal coach to skip the diagnostic sessions. Audio stays on-device — Apple's Neural Engine and Accelerate framework do the math without sending a single byte to a server. Suede Sing is the answer to the question every singer eventually asks their coach: "how do I know if I'm getting better?"

Jason Colapietro

Jason Colapietro is the founder of Suede AI, the studio behind Suede Sing. He built Suede Sing for the singer he used to be — the one who knew his mixed voice was there somewhere but couldn't tell whether his coach's exercises were moving him closer or further from it. He wanted the same objective measurement vocal scientists rely on, on a device he carries in his pocket. So he built it.

Suede AI's other products explore the same pattern: making professional-grade measurement and tooling available to everyone, on-device, without sending data to anyone's server.
